I am an electrical engineering graduate presently working as a senior technical analyst in a multinational firm in Mumbai. Though I work on creating software for computers for most of my waking hours, I am passionate about investments and investing. I love traveling, and if you ever catch me watching television, it would likely be cricket! Welcome to my website Eepfbalance. I hope you have a pleasant stay and a great learning experience.

When I started out my career, for nearly 2 years, I never really knew or bothered too much about the nitty-gritty of my pay slip. It was intimidating to try and decode all the terms – HRA, Dearness Allowance, Professional tax, Provident Fund, etc. – and the corresponding numbers. I was happy and content as long as I saw a decent number on the ATM screen at the end of the month.

Then, out of curiosity, I attended a small seminar arranged by my company on how to save for retirement. That seminar changed my outlook on retirement. It occurred to me that I would reach an age where my earning capability would dwindle before altogether disappearing. That’s when I started paying more attention to that three-letter abbreviation called EPF.

Today, 16 years into my profession, I can say that I have a healthy retirement kitty waiting for me when I hang up my gloves. My goal with this blog is to help readers like you to do the same.

My hope is that you will be able to learn and focus more on how to save for retirement. Though it’s always better to start early, as the saying goes, it’s never too late to make a start.:)

I hope the information in my blog is helpful to you. Thanks for reading, and visit frequently for the latest updates on EPF.
